2022 Retrospective

FUGITIVE EMISSIONS SUMMIT AMERICAS 2022: A RESOUNDING SUCCESS!

With record attendance, and surpassed expectations of exhibitors and guests alike, 2022’s Fugitive Emissions Summit successfully brought together a community of end users, EPCs, distributors, manufacturers, and suppliers dedicated to improving workplace practices, in efforts to reduce the environmental damage caused by industrial emissions.

The two-day (September 28-29th) event at San Jacinto College LyondellBasell Center for Petrochemical, Energy, and Technology in Pasadena TX., provided a dynamic meeting point for a diverse range of professionals, who capitalized on the opportunity to speak with one another. Over the course of the two days, the conference and exhibition were attended by hundreds of participants from several industrial disciplines, including HSE professionals, LDAR Auditors, design engineers, carbon engineers, and many more. This was the first time the facility’s dynamic labs were used, which allowed for hands-on learning and interaction. The event consisted of several high quality keynotes, panel discussions, informative workshops, and an expo hall where visitors and vendors were able to network and talk-shop. All of which provided ample time for learning, reconnecting, and forming new

A Dynamic Day One!

Offering the day one full-house a warm welcome, Fugitive Emissions Summit Americas Chairman Tim Goedeker, of Phillips 66, kicked off the conference. The 38-year-industry veteran has long been a proponent of the exploration of new technologies and pathways for future improvements to our environment. A special congratulations to Tim Goedeker, who recently announced his retirement from the industry.

A keynote from Seth Harris, Emerson Automation Solutions, immediately followed. He gave dynamic advice on greening process equipment one valve at a time. After a coffee and expo break, where attendees were able to socialize and explore the exhibitor booths, the first conference sessions began. There were three informative tracks for attendees to choose from. A ESG and Reporting Panel, an Installation, Operation and Maintenance Workshop, and a Monitoring and Testing Workshop. All three ran simultaneously offering a diverse roster of new and informative industry specific information. Two of the workshops were held in the facilities’ impressive and interactive Craft Lab, and Valve Test Lab.

After a full day of keynotes and workshops, attendees enjoyed the open bar and were invited to the Networking Reception hosted by Bonney Forge and MRC Global. The night continued thanks to Teadit, TRICORD Consulting, and Neway, who hosted another social event at a local restaurant.
